Translating into WordFast Pro

Translating in WordFast Pro –The aim of this course is to get translators started with WordFast Pro. The course gives an overview of the main concepts behind this CAT tool and of its main functions. It is suitable for all translators who either already use a CAT tool and wish to switch to WordFast Pro or for those who are thinking of getting or have already WordFast Pro and find it difficult to use. At the end of the course, the participants will be able to:

1. understand the whole WordFast Pro project workflow;

2. create a project adding reference material;

3. create a dictionary and adding it to a project;

4. work efficiently in the WordFast Pro environment;

5. perform all due controls on the files;

6. manage the translation memory;

7. import other CAT tools translation memories / exporting TMX

BIOGRAPHY:  Roberto has worked at Star Group (Italian, Swiss and Spanish branches) for almost 5 years as a Project Manager and now trains clients and translators in using Star CAT tool, as well as training junior translators, and presenting regularly at conferences. He also provides general and specific IT training.
